CTIA to be Association Sponsor of Mobile Imaging Summit
SAN MATEO, Calif. –
September 16, 2004 -- Future Image Inc, producers of the acclaimed Mobile
Imaging Summit executive conferences, announced today that CTIA – The
Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association – will be the
Association Sponsor of the Mobile Imaging Summit North America 2004, to be
held in Monterey, California, on October 28-29. CTIA joins other notable
Mobile Imaging Summit sponsors, which to date include Adobe Systems, Agfa,
Digimarc, DxO Labs, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, LightSurf, Motorola, Nokia,
PhoTags, PixelMagic, Silverwire and Sprint. Future Image will also have a
significant presence at the CTIA WIRELESS 2005 event, the specifics of which
will be made public soon.
“We are pleased to be
working with Future Image, an organization that clearly has its fingers on
the pulse of this convergence of telecommunications and imaging
technologies, as exhibited by their highly successful Mobile Imaging Summit
conferences, and their exceptional record forecasting industry
developments,” said Robert B. Mesirow, CTIA Vice President of Operations.
“We look forward to having them bring their mobile imaging expertise to our
CTIA WIRELESS 2005 conference attendees.”
“CTIA is the
preeminent wireless association and we are proud to have been selected by
them to participate in their CTIA WIRELESS 2005 conference,” said Alexis
Gerard, president of Future Image. “Their participation in our Mobile
Imaging Summit in Monterey as our Association Sponsor lends a great deal of
validation to the significant role that wireless technology is now playing
in the imaging world. In fact, we have forecast that by 2005 camera-phones
will outsell all other cameras excluding single-use devices.”
The Mobile Imaging
Summit Monterey 04 is the third in a series of conferences, hosted jointly
by Future Image and the I3A (the International Imaging Industry
Association), which have the unique distinction of drawing senior executives
from all three industries whose convergence is shaping the global
camera-phone phenomenon -- imaging, telecommunications, and information
technology – making the Summit “a unique melting pot for the new Mobile
Imaging industries (Holger May, Agfa).” The outstanding success of the two
previous Summits, held in Monterey in November, 2003 and Amsterdam in June,
2004, has established the event as the indispensable venue for companies
interested in participating in the dynamic business opportunities -- in
infrastructure, devices, media and content –stemming from the explosive
growth of worldwide camera-phone sales. Attendance is by invitation,
limited to 130 senior executives (CEO, CTO, CMO, VP, Director and GM) in
order to maintain the higher echelon networking and interactive environment
that is so valued by attendees.
Information on the
venue and program as well as a PDF of the event brochure are available at
www.gmedication.com, where updates on sessions and speakers will
also be published on a regular basis. Executives interested in receiving an
invitation to attend should contact Conference Director Joseph Byrd,
